2002-2009 - Executive Director of the Czech Capital Market Association - AKAT CR (formerly the Association of Funds and Asset Management CR and Czech Union of Investment Companies)

The Association includes practically all spheres of the Investment Management in the Czech Republic with total assets reaching almost 700 billion CZK under control. Now-a-days, the Association has more than 70 members and it is one of the most significant associations of the financial market in the Czech Republic. www.akatcr.cz

As Executive Director of AKAT CR, Martin focused primarily on market development and implementation of directives (UCITS, MiFID). Special attention was paid to alternative types of investment funds such as real estate funds and funds of qualified investors. During that time he participated in more than 30 changes of laws concerning financial and capital markets and taxation.

Martin is a recognized expert in the sphere of collective investments and capital markets. He is specialized on Funds of Qualified Investors.

1994 - 2000 - Executive Director of the shareholding company AKRO Capital a.s. - Member of the Prague Stock Exchange
AKRO Capital was one of the major brokers during the voucher privatization. This company have never been a part of the negative phenomena in financial markets during the 90s. In 1996 the U.S. venture capital fund Renaissance Partners entered the company. In 2006 the AKRO Capital has acquired the company Raiffeisen Alfa Investment Company (today named AKRO Investment Company).
1991-1994 - Consultant of the company MC TRITON s.r.o.
MC TRITON is one of the most important "domestic" consulting firms. Martin started to cooperate with this company in the time of its formation. At that time he carried out many trainings and seminars on communication, business negotiation, financial management, etc. His client portfolio consisted of companies such as Metrostav, Nuclear Power Plant Dukovany, Severomoravská plynarenská (gas production), Kovohutě Břidličná (metal foundry), etc. www.mc-triton.cz. At this time Martin also taught at the CVUT – Faculty of Building and at Charles University.

EFAMA is an umbrella association of all investment management in Europe. It covers the investment and mutual funds (UCITS and non-UCITS), asset management as well as the related activities. EFAMA represents 22 EU member states and 42 corporate members - multinational financial groups. www.efama.org  
1996 - now - Member of the Quoting Committee on the Prague Stock Exchange
Martin is the longest serving member of the Quoting Committee of the Prague Stock Exchange. From his position as a member of the Committee he approved all new IPO’s which have been traded on the Prague Stock Exchange. www.pse.cz
